Akshobhya is the next important among the Dhyani Buddhas. Nepalese Buddhist regard Akshobhya as the second Dhyani Buddha. He represents the primordal cosmic element of Vijnana (Consciousness). When Akshobhya is represented in the stupa, he always faces the east.
